Power Backup
My UPS is provides instantaneous backup to all of my Unifi Network Devices (including the PoE Cameras and Home Security System), my Security Network Video Recorder (NVR), and my Synology NAS. This gives me electrical outage, electric flicker, and surge protection for 30 to 45 minutes. Since I have a whole house generator that automatically comes on within 3 minutes, all of my most sensitive and critical systems remain online without interuption.
Additionally, Synology DSM supports this UPS and there is a Home Assistant integration to provide visibility – though I do not use it.
