Workflow Description

1. Sensor Activation

The Sanix device sensors are activated and begin monitoring the water and sewage levels continuously.

2. Level Measurement

The sensors measure the current levels and compare them against predefined thresholds for normal operation.

3. Alert Generation

If the levels exceed safe limits, an alert is generated and sent to the homeowner’s device via Home Assistant.

4. Homeowner Response

The homeowner receives the alert and assesses the situation, deciding on necessary actions.

5. System Logging

All sensor readings and alerts are logged for future reference and analysis.

Postconditions

After the capability completes, the homeowner is informed of the water/sewage status, enabling timely action to prevent damage.

Optional Enhancements

  • Integrate with home security systems for alerts during absence.
  • Add remote access for monitoring via mobile apps.
  • Implement automated shut-off valves to mitigate flooding risks.
